More than 10,000 people attended, many contributing spent brass from "a gun they would never give up." Coon had made RKBA his main campaign issue as this was the year after the "This is not an assault" attack by the FBI against a religious community near Waco, Tx,, that ended a nearly two-month siege (that began as a BATF gun-control raid publicity stunt) by burning their building complex to the ground, killing 80 people including two dozen children.
